Carson Valley

On Nevada’s western edge, surrounded by the Carson Range of the Sierra Nevada and the Pine Nut Mountains, Carson Valley beckons motorcycle riders of all types and skill levels. Fed by the Carson River and its tributaries, the valley is a beautiful portal to some of the best pavement and dirt riding in the US.

Carson / Tahoe Moto is headquartered in Minden, a small and welcoming community that is the gateway to Nevada high desert riding and many of the High Sierra passes. In Minden, Gardnerville to the south, and Genoa to the west, you’ll find great restaurants and accommodations. A few miles further south is Topaz Lake and access to the Eastern Sierra. Lake Tahoe sparkles just over the Carson Range, a half-hour of twisty mountain road away.

Our ride routes originate from Minden. The roads are excellent. Within town slow down, wave at the locals, and watch out for farm equipment on the roads.

Once outside the towns let the big, open spaces and great roads inspire you. If you live in or near a city, with freeways, and commuter angst, you might be very pleasantly surprised at just how little traffic you will encounter.
